Save the Children -
For our children's future

As the world’s largest independent child rights organisation, Save the Children works in over 100 countries, including Australia.
With the collected donations from the World Kids Colouring Day, STAEDTLER will support Save the Children's Australian programs which focus on four key areas:

  • Early childhood education
  • Youth at risk
  • Children and family support
  • Health and nutrition

Some key statistics about Australia:

  • Almost 12 per cent of Australian children fall below the poverty line.
  • In 2006, 56,000 eligible children in Australia did not receive early childhood education prior to commencing school.
  • 3 in 10 children are overweight or obese.
  • 1 in 4 children go to school hungry.
  • Only 74% of children (43% of Indigenous children) complete Year 12.
  • 317,526 child protection notifications were filed in 2007/08. An increase of 50% in the last five years.

Save the Children is addressing these issues. Established in Australia in 1919, they have been running programs for Australian children since the 1950's, and managed more than 40 programs and reached almost 70,000 children and adults in the last financial year in Australia.

STAEDTLER  is uniting globally to support Save the Children through this special promotional day. In this colouring campaign, children in Australia and around the world are invited to get creative and raise money for their beautiful works, to help other children in need.
